like a magpie, I LIVE FOR GLITTER, not you
; Things had all been fine and well, until Scorpius and Al broke up. Really, they'd been absolutely perfect. But then Hes went back to the past, as well as Lav, and Scor lost one of his favorite confidants, his trouble maker, his color coordination checker. And it wasn't even that that long after school got out, Al and him hadn't even made it to the flat that they'd talked about getting together. When Al said enough.
; Scorpius traveled for awhile. He got the hell out of dodge because that was the only thing he could do to stop thinking about Al. He didn't tell his parents where he'd gone, he left little to no notice, and he hopped on a train and left with nothing but a bag with some clothes, his sketcpad, and his pencils. He told James where he was going, just so at least one person knew, and he refused to look back. Scorpius needed a break from all of it, and he needed to find a way to stop missing Al every second of the day.
; He found himself in a few difficult situations. Older, creepy men, who seemed to want to enjoy his company far more than Scor wanted to enjoy theirs. He grew up a bit, realized that he couldn't be so naive forever. He started wandering more to out of the way places, reconnecting with the things he loved the most. Drawing, clouds, frogs, sunflowers, escaping. He'd forgotten what it felt like to hold wonder in the palm of his hand, and he had no choice but to remember.
; Returning back home came with its own consequences. Telling everyone where he'd been, getting a job, finding a flat, pretending to be an adult. But he has a flat now, and he loves it. He also loves his jobs - arranging flowers as well as working on and off for some ad agencies, designing. He bothers James Sirius regularly, getting closer to his ex-boyfriend's brother again after his return.
; What does Scor also love? Bloke's. Lots of them. Different one's every other night. The vodka and the rum and the occasional bottle of tequila (which he tends to avoid unless he wants to end up crooning about Al for hours) help him drag boys home with him, making sure they don't drag their fingers in the drying paint on his canvases strewn across his flat and keeping them occupied for hours. Scorpius views this all as good fun, as well as a lack of desire for settling down. He'd tried to do that with Al once, and it had failed miserably. He didn't want it anymore, not really.
; But Scor still loves baby shoes, he has an aquarium with frogs in his living-room, and he can eat whatever he wants, whenever he wants, which is still rare. Tubes of paint are easier to find in his kitchen than actual food. He's got a large collection of odd books, feather boa's, as well as a few chocolate bars he keeps for Lavender, just in case. And yes, they're old. Yes, he knows. No, he doesn't care. He makes his own bedtents, and reads, with tea in one hand, and he tries not to think about Hes for too long because otherwise he won't be able to stop missing her.
; Scor is really, quite the happy camper. He talks to his parents occasionally, and tells them the bare minimum. He tries to ignore the occasional beckoning of his parents to marry and have children, because wouldn't children be nice? Sometimes Scor still sleeps in his bathtub, and sometimes Scorpius still wonders what would have happened if things had been different. But he gets by, quite happily, and he even sometimes manages to drag James to the bar with him.
